The StRIID Lab Summer Research Intensive
During the Summer of 2022, the Stigma, Resilience, Inequality, Identity, and Diversity Lab at Portland State University hosted its first inaugural Summer Research Intensive (flyer below). During the 8-week intensive, interns learned theory behind psychophysiological methods, and conducted a facial electromyography study investigating the impacts of diversity messages on hiring decisions. We also held weekly journal clubs and professional development seminars.
The StRIID Lab plans to host a Summer Research Intensive in Portland every-other summer. During each intensive, interns will spend 8 weeks in Portland, gaining a deep understanding of social psychophysiological methods and running a study that involves psychophysiological measurement. Check back here later to learn more about next summer’s intensive.
